Recycling Men’s Ties to Support Cancer Charity

Glamorgan Quilters -some of whom are members of Cutting Edge – have been busy making quilts out of men’s ties to support Movember (http://uk.movember.com/about/), an event held in November each year to raise funds and awareness for men’s health, specifically prostate cancer and testicular cancer.

The quilts were displayed in the Atrium at the Royal Glamorgan Hospital today (6 November 2012). There were craft items for sale and the two quilts on display are being raffled – the lucky winners will be notified at the end of December.

There is also an exhibition of small quilts in the restaurant and through into the staff area at the back of the restaurant. This exhibition will go on till January 2013.

All money raised will be donated to the prostate and testicular cancer charity.
