Painting To Our Heart’s Content!

Today a small group met in St Hilary village hall to experiment with paints, print blocks, stencils, thermofax screens and soya wax – and what a wonderful time we all had!

Isobelle brought along her wax pot and quite a few had a go at creating wax designs on fabric. You will have to watch this space to see what the finished products turn out like

Isobelle also showed members of the group how to dye their fabrics in a plastic bag with procion dyes.

There were some wonderful results but again, you will have to wait and see.

Fiona, who said that she had never painted fabric, made the most amazing design on her piece of fabric by using fabric paints and pens – a designer doodler!

Lynne’s first attempt was equally a great success

Glynis created this lovely piece with her thermafax screens

And Fran created this most stunning sunset.

Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the day and were keen for more of the same so it was decided that we would meet the 1st Thursday of the month at St Hilary Village Hall to paint, create and have fun. If you would like to join our contemporary group email
