Some of you may remember Anita Orford who was one of the very first members of Cutting Edge, when we met in Llanblethian Village Hall. Anita moved to Sydney, Australia two years ago this August. However, she still keeps up to date with our activities through the Cutting Edge and Cowbridge Stitch and Bitch blogs.
Anita is one of my very dearest friends so it was wonderful that I was able to visit her whilst on my recent travels. Though she has been busy settling in and using her sewing and DIY skills to make the most beautiful home she has not forgotten us. She has made 12 cute little Scottie dogs as a contribution to her fundraising efforts.
Half have been made with union jack fabric and the other half Australia flag fabric. They are so cute!
She was so keen that I bring them back with me that she took them on our trip to the Blue Mountains so that she could finish them off – what dedication to the cause!
I have made some very special labels for them.
Though only a short visit we had a lovely time finding a most amazing button shop and patchwork shops, which I will share with you in a later blog.
