Variety is the Spice of Life!

Well, today was the last day of term before tking a short break for the summer. And, there was certainly a lot of variety of activities.

During ‘morning prayers’ there was news of lots of forthcoming events and a brilliant show and tell session. Check out these wonderful works of art. A lovely table runner and cross stitch from Linda

Dilys showed a quilt top that she has just completed but was busy making a blouse. A lovely design and one that everyone seemed to want to make – perhaps we could have a fashion show in September?

And, Chris kindly offered to show the group how to make lavender bottles – which were beautiful when completed. Gilly was very pleased with hers.

A big than you to Sue Bowers from Patchwork House, who donated a raffle prize, which was held to raise funds for the back to Sea charity in the phiippines

All in all, a great day was had by all. Time for a break during August and looking forward to seeing everyone again in September.

So sorry not to be with you – looks like I missed a great show and tell. And I love the lavender bottles.

Hi from the U.S.! I am wondering if you could tell me the name of the pattern used for the quilt made by Sylvana (I think – it is below the blueberry one). I found it on accident and it would be perfect for a challenge bundle I have!

    • Monica Dennis

Hi Stephanie, I have passed your enquiry to Sylvana who hopefully will reply directly to you.
