Irene has set out to do a block a month project and showed us her first. She also told everyone about a wonderful new die cut machine that she has. She has been able to scan the design for this panel and then cut the shapes on the die cut machine – lucky thing!

Linda showed everyone an exquisite little Christmas cross stitch that she made.

In addition to all this Julia managed to demonstrate how to make continuous bias binding from a square of fabric and for anyone who is interested the instructions can be downloaded from the top tips page of the blog.

The group welcomed Hilary’s son and daughter in law from the Philippines, who popped in to say hello. It was great to be able to meet them and delightful that they were able to spend so much time chatting to members and viewing the work in progress.

And, to round the day off Gilly celebrated a very special birthday and everyone enjoyed some birthday cake to celebrate the occasion.
