Sissix Workshop

Today, an enthusiastic group of Cutting Edge members met in St Hilary villge hall to have a go at using the Sissix machine to recycle their Christmas cards.

And, it wasn’t long before everyone was totally absorbed in the activity – it has never been so quiet!!!

Caroline was soon hooked – what lovely little birds!

It looks like Liz will soon be the Queen of recycled cards!

And these are a few that Hilary made earlier using die cuts and embossing plates.

Following a very absorbing morning Hilary then went on to demonstrate how to stitch designs onto cards.

Hilary brought along some beautiful cards that she had already made and it wasn’t long before some had produced some stunning ones of their own

A wonderfully relaxing day and we still have more Christmas cards to recycle in the future!

Following the day Monica used black paper die cuts that she created to make the following greetings cards. Translucent paper, ribbon, buttons and fabric have been used alongside the die cuts and finished off with machine stitching.

A big big thank you to Monica and Hilary for such a fun day. Also, thanks for organising all the wonderful resources you so generously shared, I felt like a child in a sweetshop with so many resources to experiment with.
