Today Cutting edge members met for the last time before the summer break and it was evident that there had been flurry of activity to complete some unfinished pieces of work.
Fran had been on a mission with three pieces of works recently completed. A beautiful kimono quilt that she started quite a while ago at a Judi Mendelsshon workshop
followed by a triangular design quilt
and a wonderful seascape
Jan also seemed to have been on a mission. She had completed a large quilt……
a small quilt
and a book cover
Corinne, Keris and Monica showed everyone the book covers that they had made at the recent book cover. They can be viewed here
Isobell has been getting to grips with her new sewing and embroidery machine with some stunning results. She showed everyone a book cover that she had embroidered
and her recently completed World War 1 challenge quilt
Other completed WW1 quilts can be viewed here
Hillary was quietly beavering away on some Frozen quilts after completing a beautiful quilt for a new grandchild.
Jeannie was binding a king size quilt that she has made for a neighbour…
And, she was handsewing with one of her mom’s needles from this vintage case which after all these years was in beautiful condition.
Time for a break now – no more Cutting Edge until September but no doubt the sewing will continue.
