Our quilts are now in Cowbridge shop windows to support this year’s British Legion Poppy Appeal and Remembrance day commemorations. They will be on display from 31 October until 14 November 2016. We are grateful to the following shops for allowing us to use their window space

– David Barnes Dry Cleaners
– Beauty Within
– Costa Coffee
= Jon Ian
– The Barbers
– Ty Hafan – their window is featured below

The Barbers don’t have our quilts in their window this year but they have taken our poppies!

The quilts and Poppy’s looked wonderful in the shops in Cowbridge“. Yvonne Davies

Many thanks for your email and your support before and during the Poppy Appeal.
The feedback has been excellent, and once again your quilts have received the recognition they so richly deserve. Hillary’s large poppies have gone down exceptionally well, around 60 retailers eventually displaying them, and a good number of those retailers going further to produce window displays for our “Paint the Town Red ” theme. I will, of course keep you informed regarding our fundraising. in the meantime I would be grateful if you could pass on my sincere thanks to all the members of your group for their help and support. I have been very happy to work with Cutting Edge this year and would love to do so again in future years
“. David Howell, Cowbridge Branch of British Legion

Below is a letter from David Howell thanking us for our involvement in this year’s Poppy Appeal. I would also like to add a heartfelt thanks to Liz Price and Chris Dobson who have done a sterling job this year hanging and taking down the quilts not only for the Remembrance Day commemorations but also the July Old Hall exhibition and Giles Gallery, Pontyclun. They have given their time generously to ensure that members quilts are enjoyed to their best effect and we are extremely grateful to them
