Flower Girls!

Not only was it a bright and sunny day outside today it was sunny all the way inside Ystradowen Village Hall where a small group of ‘flower girls’ beavered away to make fabric flowers

It is not clear what the discussion was here but could it be ‘is mine better than yours?’ – never!

And whilst it seemed that heads were down concentrating on the job in hand there was quite a bit of discussion going on about what could have been done instead of following the instructons. For instance –

Jan was heard to say ‘we could have used a glue gun!

Glynis commented that ‘we could have wrapped the stem in florist tape’

Jeannie thought it would be good ‘to wrap the stem with felt and use florists tape on top’

Jan – ‘how can you (w)rap without music?

Chris – ‘has anyone put the kettle on yet?

Helen – they would look good made in Liberty fabric

And Jan was horrifed when she found out she would have to HAND SEW!

So….. it seems that any future flowers will be constructed in a very different way!

All in all, a lovely cheery day – as you can see here
