2019 She Sews Sea Shells Exhibition

Today ( 16 September 2019) we set up our exhibition in the Old Hall Pop Up Shop and we are thrilled to be part of the Vale Makers Festival

A huge vote of thanks must go to Liz, Monica, Corinne and Isobelle who spent the day hanging the exhibition – which looks absolutely stunning!

And we were lucky to be able to use some of the main corridor in the Old Hall and a cabinet to display CE members work. It certainly showcased the incredible talent of the group. Below is a small snapshot of the work on show

And there was also a lovely table of goodies for sale – to raise money for Project Linus

Definitely an exhibition to be proud of!

We had a busy and enjoyable week welcoming visitors who came from the local area and further afield – Newport, Abergavenny, Swansea, Neath and Port Talbot. And it was lovely to have a visitor from Australia who was visiting the area.

And finally, we received a visit from quilter Hopkin Rees. I am sure that he wouldn’t mind me telling you that he is 79 years young and a prolific quilter who had a number of his quilts exhibited at the 2018 Swansea Festival of Stitch Quilt Expo.

When he visited on Saturday he brought these two new quilts to show us – which are stunning
