Today’s Dyeing to Paint got off to a flying start after New Year wishes had been exchanged and everyone had caught up on news of the festiivities over a tea or coffee.
Sally was on a mission with foam brushes and stencils creating some ‘happy accidents’
Fiona was in full flow with her favourite roller and her new favourite stencil, which others also took a shine too
Monica was also engrossed in stencilling using some she had made and some kindly loaned by Glynis and Fiona
Caroline was busy making more fabric to go with the others that she had painted at a previous session
She wasn’t the only one with a stash of fabrics that need to be used and there was a comment that we perhaps need to get together one day just to focus on creating some art quilts, particularly as many of the pieces were sea themed and would fit nicely into the theme of the forthcoming exhibition – no pressure girls!
Meanwhile Glynis painted some fabulous seed heads
Corinne stencilled Dutch houses
And Jan was quietly beavering away recycling her Christmas cards!
As always great fun. Well done everyone!
Today we welcomed Alison Moger to lead us through a workshop to create pictures with scraps of fabric and machine stitch. And inspiration from seeing Alison’s work inspired those attending to produce some wonderful pieces of work which are showcased below….
A very enjoyable day which produced pieces of work to be proud of – well done everyone!
