Cutting Edge was established in April 2012 by Pam Stead, Hilary Carney and Monica Dennis. it was the brainchild of Pam Stead and Hilary Carney and we were grateful to Spike Dennis who designed the logo and helped with establishing the blog.

Cutting Edge is a textile group that meets the 2nd Tuesday of every month between 10.00am and 3.00pm  in Ystradowen Village Hall, Vale of Glamorgan. We sew, quilt, embroider, crochet – in fact – anything that takes your fancy! For more information, or to join Cutting Edge contact Monica Dennis email: cuttingedgetextiles@gmail.com

We also have an off-shoot group – Dyeing to Paint – that meets the 1st Thursday of every month in St Hilary Village Hall, Vale of Glamorgan. It is for anyone interested in experimenting with fabric paints/crayons. print blocks/stencils etc. For more information email cuttingedgetextiles@gmail.com

Sadly, Pam died suddenly in September 2014 leaving members bereft. She will be greatly missed for her generosity and kindness. A tribute to Pam can be found here.

Hilary stood down from running the group in September 2016. Members thanked her for the wonderful contribution that she had made over the past 5 years.

Monica Dennis and Liz Price currently run the group.

Chris Morfett is the local representative for Project Linus – covering the Vale of Glamorgan and Bridgend
